Cottages: Ty’r Wennol
Ty’r Wennol & Y Stabl are the upper & lower floors of the old stable block. Because this was built into the hillside there are no stairs to negotiate inside either of these & they each have their own entrance & garden with a different aspect. Although entirely separate we would like to encourage friends or family to use them as a pair and will offer a discount for the two units booked together.
There is parking for one car outside Ty’r Wennol which is particularly suitable for those with some mobility problems, having a level paved path, with railings each side, to the front door, from the parking area.
Ty’r Wennol has its own private garden in the old orchard, which is approached along a paved path and down some steps. It is a particularly tranquil spot with a seat and table placed to enjoy views of the Black Mountain.
The stable has been converted with 5 star specification, by local craftsmen. It features oak & slate floors, underfloor heating, handmade fitted kitchens & original art & crafts.
Ty’r Wennol is suitable for two adults, having a bedroom with zip & link beds (i.e. twin or double) There is a radio alarm clock in the bedroom. The bathroom has a walk in shower and constant hot water. The bedroom has wonderful views of the Black mountain.
The well-equipped open plan kitchen-dining area includes a dishwasher, washer-drier, electric oven & ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and table and chairs.
The living area has a leather sofa and antique rocking chair & DVD/TV which also plays CDs. The bedroom and living area both have Indian carpets which create an especially cosy environment.
We have installed multi-sensory smoke alarms in the cottages for extra reassurance. We are sorry not to be able to accommodate pets and the cottages are all no smoking.
